The word coming out of Dolphins camp is that Arian Foster will be the starter that running back.
"He is going to be working with the ones the whole training camp. His resume speaks for itself. I don't think there's any question why we brought him in here. He's playing this year." Coach Adam Gase said.
So, let m get this straight, the Dolphins let Lamar Miller walk because they thought he couldn't carry a workload. I already disagree with that. Miller was the perfect back for this team but they let him walk to sign with the Texans. Then they decided to let Jay Ajayi from Boise State take over as their lead back. First off, Ajayi has no knees. His knees are not a good scene. And he is already missing time from them. Way to go Dolphins front office. Once they realize their mistake they go out and sign Foster.
Do you se where this is going? Ajayi is not going to play more then eight games with his knee issue and Foster is not going to play every game this year so that leaves Isiah Pead. Yep. I think it is safe to say that someone down in Miami made a mistake not extending Lamar Miller, who is going to have an awesome year in Houston.
Look, I'm not bashing them or signing Foster but what I am saying is that Foster and Miller would have been a great duo. But Chris Greir messed up big time. By week twelve we will see Isiah Pead taking starting snapsnat running back.
Maybe Greir is banking on drafting Nick Chubb or Leonard Fournette this year. Maybe not.
