According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Rob Ninkovich has been suspended the first four game of the NFL season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Ninkovich was expected to miss the first four games anyways so it's not really a big deal at all for the actual production of the team. It affects Nink's reputation. It sucks to see it but let's get over it and move on.
Shea McClellin will be starting in his place as a linebacker/edge rusher. They had been practicing together at the same position during camp. It's gonna be tough to overcome it but Bill has built the roster to get over this injury. They even added Barkevious Mingo to help with depth and he look great in preseason game four against the Giants.
They'll be fine without him but he will definitely be missed but either it's suspension or injury, it really doesn't matter at all to me.
