he Dallas Cowboys have gotten out to an excellent 4-0 start behind the magnificent play of their rookies Dak Prescott and Zeke Elliot.
They have been absolutely feeding Zeke all season. He already has over 500 yards and five touchdowns. He has been truly amazing in his rookie season. But that was expected. I expected him to be awesome when he got drafted to the Cowboys. Pairing Zeke with the best line in the NFL is a match made in heaven. He could end up with over 2,000 yards and I wouldn't be surprised. He is that good. If they had listened to people who mocked Goff to them (that was me one time), they wouldn't be even close the the place they are now.
Goff would have been a mistake and they drafted a better QB in the later rounds in Dak Prescott. Dak has been good. He has done everything they've needed from him in the absence of Romo with a back injury. People around the internet are even saying Dak should have the job when Romo gets back.
That where I draw the line. Dak is the future QB of Dallas there's no doubt about that. However, this is Tony Romo's team. Romo coming back will make them a Super Bowl contender.
They are that good.
Tony Romo is a top five quarterback in the league. He is going to be put with the best roster he has ever played with once he gets back, which could be soon. Romo with that line, Zeke, a healthy Dez and a much imporved defense. You've got yourself a Super Bowl contender right there.
It's not at all crazy to think that either. The way they are running the ball mixed with the eventual return of Tony Romo and Dez Bryant. Cole Beasley has stepped up huge for them. He has been a reliable target for Dak.
Their offensive line has been the best in league, the Raiders aren't far behind though. Zach Martin is the best offensive linemen in the league. Pairing him with Travis Frederick and Tyron Smith is almost unfair. Both of them are the best at their respective position. They've been dealing with some injuries as of late but they will be fine.
My prediction as of now is Dallas making it to the NFC title game in Minnesota. Jason Garret can't ultimately get the job done and the Vikings make it to the Super Bowl with the Patriots.
A top five QB, a top three running back, a top five receiver skill wise, a reliable and hall of fame tight end, and the best line in football reeks of success. This season, it will amount to the most success the Dallas Cowboys have had in a long time.
